August Staff Appreciation
by Footprints Huntsville on

The volunteers had a wonderful time together in July and August showing some love to the families of "our" precious babies and to the ones who take such diligent care of them while they are so sick.  Our volunteer base is growing by leaps and bounds and we couldn't be more excited.  We are always accepting donations for the bags.  We have people who are busy, as I type, getting goodies ready for both our October and December bags. In July, we were able to prepare and deliver 60 bags to the families of the NICU here in Huntsville!!  What a tremendous blessing it was to us to be able to do that!  God continues to bless us is so many ways, and by doing so, we are able to spread that blessing to so many others who need it.  Coming up next on our blog, we will have some comments from the volunteers and staff about the Footprints program here in Huntsville.  So be sure to stay tuned to that!

For the staff, we were able to fill 5+ baskets with goodies just as a very small thank you for all that they do.  I personally heard that it was a huge hit!  I am so glad because words will never be enough for how they allow God to work through them for the families and their babies!  Please continue to pray for the work here as we try to bring God's peace and comfort to those in time of  need.

Hello from Huntsville!!
by Footprints Huntsville on

Hi everyone!  My name is Becky Tucker and I'm one of the volunteers from Footprints new ministry branch.  I hope the words said here can show you the love we have in our hearts to serve our awesome Creator and to serve the families in the Tennessee valley area!  We are so excited to get things started up here.  First, a little about who we will be serving.  We will be serving the NICU located at Huntsville Hospital (this will be the first hospital that isn't Christian based.  But that will NOT stop us!!  That will only help us to fight harder to bring the comfort of our Savior to those who desperately need it!)  Huntsville Hospital is a Level III Regional NICU who services around 800 babies a year!  They have 45 beds (intensive and progressive care). For more specific information, please follow this link:

Volunteers from this area have already delivered 120 bags and we are planning another bag stuffing and delivery for July 16th.  So far, we are planning to meet every third Thursday of the month (with June's meeting falling on the 25th.)  We are always looking for more volunteers that can help in any way!  As always we appreciate prayers for the babies, their families, the doctors and nurses most of all.  Please pray for us as we do whatever we can to get up and running.  I hope to post pictures from previous events soon.  We are so excited to be able to serve the families in this area.  We pray God will continue to bless the ministries in our sister areas of Montgomery and Birmingham.
